Feb 24, 2022 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM
We have been given an awesome opportunity for a Rotary evening meeting at the Botanic Gardens which we have jumped on given we only a few weeks before the events will finish for summer.
We currently have booked Thurs 24th February (next Thursday) instead of our Friday morning meeting.
The evening is a specially designed evening tour for Rotary Clubs with Alan Morgan from the Rotary Club of Cashmere
The proposed programme is as follows:
5.15pm: Meet in the Ilex cafeteria for drinks (cash bar) and a light meal. The café is closed to the public at 5.00pm and the club has exclusive access. The meal cost is likely to be $20pp for a finger food selection
5.55pm: A welcome from the Gardens Director (or his deputy)
6.00pm; Commence a one hour guided walk in groups of 10 max from a selection of tours
The twilight time can be the most magical time of day to be in the Garden and the setting sunlight can be a photographer’s dream.
There will be a Koha of $5.00pp for the Friends of the Botanic Gardens for projects in the Gardens. The guides are well trained and, of course, are volunteers.
Partners are welcome. We will be putting a board around on Friday for interest as we need a minimum of 30 people
Tina
